Spending time in nature and within natural environments leads to improved emotional and physical wellbeing.
Research has shown that people who spend more time in nature experience less depression, anxiety and report higher levels of positive life satisfaction overall.
Come along every fortnight to meet with other mums, connect and recharge your batteries, engaging in simple yet deeply nurturing activities that support mindfulness, flow, self-compassion and exploration.
As a trained Occupational Therapist, Laughter Yoga Leader, Before and Beyond Birth Mental Wellbeing Practitioner and Mamma Wild Facilitator, I am drawing upon my knowledge and experience to bring you Mother Nurture an outdoor group for mums within the North East facilitating engagement in wellbeing practices.
Example Session structure:
1. Meet at agreed destination point
2. Walk & talk
3. Guided relaxation
5. Exercises promoting mindful flow, play and creativity
6. Nature bathing
7. Gratitude circle
8. Chat & cuppa (with time for lunch)
Attendees will be invited to join a private Facebook group.
Children are welcome, however please be aware that some walking routes may be unsuitable.
Please bear in mind that this group has been created as an outdoor maternal wellbeing group, therefore please ensure the supervision of your child(ren) throughout.
