About the Event
**Monthly wellbeing & meditation circle for women who have experienced birth or perinatal trauma / difficulties**
Once a month come together with other women to talk, share, laugh and be. This women's circle is an informal yet private sacred space where we can connect and talk about our experiences, our realities and be heard without judgment or any need to justify. The group circle provides opportunities to connect with other mums and share your own experiences, taking time to engage in a lovely simple meditation and journaling exercises.
The sessions will consist of: -Welcome -Chat -Journaling -Meditation / Guided Relaxation / Laughter Yoga / Yoga Nidra
This online monthly group space is being held by Katy Williams of Birthscapes. Katy is based in the North East (UK) is a stay at home mum to one, trained Occupational Therapist, Laughter Yoga Leader and perinatal wellbeing practitioner, providing multiple services to support maternal wellbeing and the transition that we make as we become mothers.
Katy experienced birth trauma and 2.5 years of undiagnosed perinatal OCD and Katy found herself on her own healing path using mediation, laughter yoga and self-acceptance.
Katy runs regular Beyond Birth Mindful Early Parenting Groups at venues within the North East (UK). Katy is currently training as a Mindful Breastfeeding Supporter, and is completing a Postpartum Nutrition Diploma with Milk + Seed.
Whatever your experience and your journey, you are welcome if you would benefit from this monthly space. Currently the group is donations based with suggested donations of £5-10 based upon what you are able to afford, or to pay what you can, if you can. Sessions are held online via zoom.

The groups aim is not to directly treat or target trauma but instead to provide a safe space for women to connect, be heard and share their experience as well as having space where you can take a little time just for you. Attendees take full responsibility for their own health and wellbeing at all times.
