About the Event

Come along on Sunday 5th June from 18:30-20:15 and experience the Before Birth Mindful Wellbeing and Positive Birth Preparation course for yourself at The Modern Yoga, Gosforth with Birthscapes.

Tickets for the first session of the course are half price at £7, including a journal book and mini wellbeing gift.

About the course:

Before Birth is a Mindful Wellbeing and positive birth preparation course for expectant mothers / birthing parents.

You will be guided to tune inwards, slow down and connect with yourself and baby as well as exploring your expectations, hopes and fears as you make the transition into parenthood (whether your first or subsequent baby).

Sessions include a combination of journaling, mindfulness, guided relaxations breathwork, wellbeing discussions, affirmations and gratitude circle.

Sessions are held over 6 weeks and act as a wellbeing toolkit. Focusing on your mental well-being, offering support, ideas and questions to build resilience, cope with and accept the challenges, learn to trust in your instincts and reach out for help when required.

Emotions not only have an impact on an expectant parent, but also on baby in utero too. As such, it is so important that we try to manage and understand our thoughts and feelings with kindness, whilst finding tools to support healthy emotional regulation.

A huge part of managing our emotions during pregnancy and as a new parent is having a tribe of other parents to share with and to feel validated.

Whether this is your first baby or subsequent, by coming along to Before Birth each week you are supporting not only your health, but also the health of your baby.

There will be discussions regarding pregnancy, birth and postpartum, with information provided to help you plan and prepare for a positive birth experience (including support around creating a birth and postpartum plan).

There will always be time for a cuppa, cake and a chat at the end of each session and you will receive a journal book and mini wellbeing gift to support your self care practice.

You are invited to come along to experience Before Birth for yourself for £7 (including journal book and mini gift)

The full 6 week course costs £75 or is £15 per session.

Birthscapes was created by Katy Williams, a trained Occupational Therapist, mummy to one, hypnobirthing teacher, trauma practitioner and positive parenting educator.

Parental wellbeing is at the heart of Birthscapes services, with Katy providing holistic support to expectant and new parents in order to ease the transition into early parenthood.

Katy trained as a Before and Beyond Birth Wellbeing Practitioner in 2020 to be able to offer new parents with the support and connection that is so desperately needed.
