About the Event

About me: I'm Katy, a qualified Occupational Therapist, Hypnobirthing and antenatal educator, birth trauma practitioner, laughter yoga leader and perinatal professional in addition to being the mummy to a 3 year of a 3 year old and founder of Birthscapes. 

My mission is quite simple, it is to support the wellbeing of parents from conception onwards, ensuring that you have the tools you need as you transition into and make the journey through parenthood. As a trained Laughter Yoga Leader I found that using Laughter Yoga during the postpartum period helped me heal on my parenting journey and helped with bonding and connection, including injecting energy into my daily play with my daughter. 

My upcoming event: This weekend I am inviting all expectant birthing-parents / mamas to join me for a FREE hour long ANTENATAL workshop to focus on the wellbeing of birth-parent and baby using the power of laughter yoga, mindfulness and journaling. 

Laughter yoga is evidence-based and scientifically proven to have quick positive effects on the mind and body. 

Laughter has been shown to support parent-infant bonding, to boost happy hormones required for positive mental wellbeing of baby and mum as well as allowing for a more joyful birth and postpartum experience.
