About the Event
Welcome to Beyond Birth, a NEW Mindful Early Parenting group for you, a new parent, to be the weekly tonic that you need to keep your mind in balance.
Beyond Birth has been awarded the Lux Life Parent and Baby Award for 'Best Online Early Parenting Mindfulness Guide' for 2021!!!
Each weekly session has been designed to ease the transition into parenthood. Think of it as hand-holding across a wobbly bridge into an unknown place, providing you with reassurance and help in finding your feet.
You (and your partner) will learn skills to calm, soothe and tune inwards.
You will be guided to explore your identity as a parent (be this your first, or subsequent baby), and connect with yourself, your baby and loved ones.
Beyond Birth focuses on your emotional wellbeing and offers support, ideas and explores questions that you may have, to build resilience, cope with and accept the challenges and joys, as well as finding the confidence to trust in your instincts and reach out for help when needed.
You will learn skills that help you slow down, connect, and ease the emotional intensity of early parenting, so you can enjoy and bank those first precious months instead of them going by like a blur.
By coming along to the Beyond Birth group course, you will meet other likeminded parents, start to find and build your tribe as well as ensuring that each week, you focus on you, decompress and move forward into the next week feeling refreshed and nurtured, confident and empowered.
The sessions use a combination of mindfulnes, relaxation, self-hypnosis, breathwork, journaling and other therapeutic techniques, as well as providing calming techniques to use with your baby.

Good to know:
Partners are welcome to attend, however I ask where possible that you let me know in advance due to venue capacity.
In relation to Covid safety measure, it is recommended that you bring your own yoga mat or pillow and changing mat / blanket for you and baby to get comfortable on and low-noise / soundless baby toys to keep your little one entertained.
If baby cries, that’s okay. If baby is asleep, that’s okay. *If you miss a session, that’s okay.. you can always take this later within a 12 week period (*to be discussed).
