Before Birth is a Mindful Wellbeing and Positive Birth Preparation Group for you as an expectant parent at The Nest, Low Fell on Wednesdays from 01st June - 13th July (*excluding 08/06/22). Each weekly session is designed to ease the transition into parenthood and to support your wellbeing and that of baby during pregnancy and onwards. You will learn skills to calm, soothe & tune inwards, being guided to explore your identity as an expectant parent (be it your first, or subsequent baby), connecting with yourself, your baby & loved ones. Focusing on your mental well-being, offering support, ideas & questions to build resilience, cope with and accept the challenges, learning to trust your instincts & being able reach out for help when required. Emotions not only have an impact on an expectant parent, but also on baby in utero too. As such, it is so important that we try to manage and understand our thoughts and feelings with kindness, whilst finding tools to support healthy emotional regulation. A huge part of managing our emotions during pregnancy and as a new parent is having a tribe of other parents to share with and to feel validated. Whether this is your first baby or subsequent, by coming along to Before Birth each week you are supporting not only your health and wellbeing, but also that of your baby. Each week has a different wellbeing theme: 1. Nurture 2. Emotions 3. Connections 4. Nourish 5. Recovery & Resilience 6.
